"Big" Bay Allen has been playing guitar for more than thirty years, writing original songs since the first week he picked up a guitar.  Having grown up in Virginia, he leans towards a Piedmont Blues style, fused with other Country Blues soundscapes.  Since moving to Western Pennsylvania in the 90's, he has allowed that Piedmont style to evolve into a new expression.

Heavily influenced by musicians such as Pink Anderson, Brownie McGhee, Paul Geremia, Eric Bibb, Mose Scarlett, Mississippi John Hurt, and others... their influences meld into Bay's own songwriting and repertoire.  A five-finger finger-style player, Bay loves to resurrect sounds of a bygone era in blues music.  Suitable for the back porch, or concert hall... you never know what you'll hear next!
